The challenge.

In mid-2021, energy prices became unstable, leading to higher bills for Italian households. By early 2022, one of Italy’s major gas distributors suspended operations, causing even more energy cost challenges.

As part of an Italian bank‘s innovation initiative, we aimed to address these issues by helping customers finances management through saving. Our focus was on reducing costs related to energy, gas, internet, and mobile phone bills.

Our team, comprising bank representatives and startuppers, worked for four months to create a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that could quickly be validated by customers. 

Our main question was: How would customers respond to the bank’s offering of non-banking services?
