First digital offer for a long-established player

As digital-only banks became more popular, traditional banks sped up their move to offer digital services. In this case, the aim was to make it easier for customers to use digital channels for using banking products and services with one of Italy’s top five banks.

The team had to figure out everything about the digital service, like the pricing model and what products would be available online. We also had to make sure the experience was easy for customers and kept their information safe, especially since opening a digital account involves sharing sensitive financial data.

The main challenge was making the process simple for customers, especially since the bank had to follow strict rules about collecting financial information.

How to simplify an experience with a mature product in the brick-and-mortar market? How to differentiate from the value offered by competitors in digital channels? How to effectively handle sensitive information and recognition methods?
